Sponsored by TNS Sport, which is already an official partner of the race, the aim of the TNS Sport Transat 2004 Media Award is to encourage the PR teams of the skippers to work with The Transat team to create a high quality information resource for both the media and general public.
The award will be presented to the PR team that is considered to have uploaded a regular, high-level of content to their dedicated Skipper Console on the official Transat website for the period of the race. The Skipper Consoles have been created to provide a dynamic zone that the PR teams of the competing boats can pro-actively update with content including written, audio and images.
The judging panel consists of: Bruno Lalande, director, TNS Sport, France; Alain Echegut, journalist, Les Echos; Chris Barnes, head of research, SportBusiness Group; and Mark Turner, CEO, Offshore Challenges Events.
