PGA Tour tees up in NYC

The PGA Tour is boosting its sales and marketing effort by opening a new dedicated office in New York City to better service its commercial and broadcast partners.

The office, which will open in July, will be headed by Ric Clarson, senior vice president, business development, and focus purely on commercial matters.

Clarson has been with the Tour for 21-years, working in media, public relations, tournament business affairs and corporate marketing.
Said PGA Tour commissioner Tim Finchem: “Our New York office will help provide better service to our existing New York-based clients and allow us to more readily forge new alliances and enable us to work more closely with our television broadcast partners."
Added Tom Wade, chief marketing officer of the Tour: “This is a great opportunity for us to enhance our presence and impact in the world's number one marketplace."
