FIFA to unveil 2010 reports

The technical reports into the five African bidding nations hoping to host the 2010 FIFA World Cup will be published next week.

FIFA president Sepp Blatter said the details – which will give a clear indication of which nation is most likely to win the race for the tournament – will be posted on its official website, FIFA.com.
While South Africa has been the constant favourite, Morocco has emerged as real contender, boosted by its proximity to mainland Europe. Earlier this week Spain’s Prime Minister became the latest big hitter to lend his support to Morocco.
Meanwhile, South Africa will be desperate to overcome the disappointment of its failure to land the 2006 tournament. It lost out by a single vote to Germany.
Blatter says he remains neutral in the process – perhaps learning his lesson from the 2006 vote, where he made no secret of his support of the South African bid.
Said Blatter: “As FIFA president, I'm neutral. For me all African nations are equal.
"I think it will be possibly as tight as it was in 2000 for the decision of 2006.”
