The FIH says statistics show record numbers visited WorldHockey.org during the men’s and women’s Olympic qualifiers held in Spain and New Zealand last month.
The federation says it averaged 7,917 unique visitors a day during the men’s event and 4,102 for the women’s event.
The site offered visitors live text commentary of the games, along with the latest news.
Said Peter Cohen, honourary secretary general of the FIH: “The excellent figures for website traffic to WorldHockey.org indicate that the our event coverage is widely used by hockey fans all over the world.”
The International Hockey Federation (FIH) has reported record traffic on its official website.
