Fans of Major League Baseball’s New York Yankees camped overnight to snap up 100 sets of old seats from Yankee Stadium.
The seats, removed from the stadium five years ago, were sold in sets of three; with each set commanding a cool $1,500 price-tag.
Proceeds from the sale, organised by city chiefs, go into a central city fund.
A further 300 sets will be sold, be auction, later this year.
