US cricket CEO hunt on

Cricket’s push into the US has taken another step forward after the sport’s governing body launched the recruitment process for a cricket CEO for the nation.

The ICC says whoever fills the new role will be presented with the primary objective of facilitating the staging of one-day international Tri-Series events in 2005 and 2006 and, as a result, create clear and independent income streams for the USACA.
These funds will then be ploughed back into the US game.
The CEO will also play a key role in selling sponsorship packages for the tournaments.
They will report to a ‘USA Cricket Special Project’ sub-committee comprising one delegate from the ICC, one delegate from USACA and one delegate from WICB. The employee agreement will be with USACA but initially underwritten by the ICC.
The position will be based in the US, although the ICC says relocation is a ‘possibility’.
The closing date for applications is April 30.
Full details of the application process can be found in the recruitment section of the ICC website – www.icc.cricket.org.
