Five more contracts worth QR18.2m (U$5m) for consultancy services associated with major sports projects were awarded on the third day of the exhibition.
The contracts, awarded on behalf of the Qatar National Olympic Committee went to engineer and design consultants.
Additional contracts included a major sponsorship agreement between QNOC and Salam International for the provision of IT and media support services. QSi also awarded TV broadcast rights for this year's multi-sport GCC Cup to Al Jazeera Sports Channel.
Elsewhere, the conference also discussed the issue of Women in Sports.
It heard that QNOC had agreed to ensure women participated more during the upcoming Asian Games in Doha, with at least 10 percent working to help organise the Games, 40 percent as volunteers and two percent as athletes.
