Leo Hindery Jr resigned just days after Cablevision Systems was finally ordered by an arbitration panel to offer the YES Network to its subscriber base as part of its basic offering, and not as a premium add-on channel.
The dispute had been on-going for most of the two-and-a-half-years since the channel first launched.
Said Hindery, who will remain as non-executive chairman: “Since I accepted the responsibility of helping to form YES, I have achieved all of my goals and our team has met and overcome every challenge. I believe that now is the ideal time to turn my attention to other challenges.”
Hindery still had five months left on his contract.
