Martin quits Ketchum this week

Ketchum Sports Network chief Steve Martin quits the company at the end of this week – one month before he starts his new role as managing director of M&C Saatchi Sponsorship.

Martin, the former global PR manager for adidas-Salomon, announced earlier this year he was leaving the unit he had helped build up.

Now he has confirmed he will quit this week – assume his new position as of April 26.

Martin joined Ketchum in 2001 to set up the agency’s sports sponsorship division, working on clients such as Pepsi, adidas, Carlsberg, Kodak, Orange, adidas TaylorMade golf, The Grand Slam Tennis Committee and Lloyds TSB.

M&C Saatchi Sponsorship clients include Benson & Hedges in Formula One, Morgan Stanley, Travelex and Lucozade Sport.
