To be staged between April 15-18, the Open de Sevilla will be played at the Real Club de Golf de Sevilla.
Total prize money will be EUR1m with first prize EUR166,660.
The introduction of the Open de Sevilla means that Spain will host two tournaments back to back in April, with the new event being followed by the Canarias Open de EspaC1a.
It will also be the first of two tournaments on the 2004 European Tour International Schedule to be played at Real Club de Golf de Sevilla - the club will also host the World Golf Championships, World Cup from November 18-21.
