IMG sign Fleischer

Ari Fleischer, the former White House press secretary and assistant to President George W. Bush, has signed with IMG - opening the way for his company to get into the sports sector.

Fleischer, now president of Ari Fleischer Communications, currently represents corporate and public service clients for strategic and crisis communications, public affairs and marketing communications.
The new deal with IMG will allow those in the sports field to obtain Fleischer’s services.
Said Sandy Montag, senior vice president of IMG and head of IMG broadcasting: “Public figures have long benefited from Ari’s unique experience and perspective, and we agree with him that sports is the logical next step for his company.
“Leagues, foundations, organisations, associations, broadcasters, teams, head coaches, managers and players are often in need of communications advice, especially in today’s media atmosphere. There’s where Ari will come in.”
Added Fleischer: “I see our usefulness in sports primarily as offering communications help to athletes, coaches, and owners, drawing on my knowledge and experience working with press during my years in government, including the White House.”
