The event, held between May 15-20, will bring together representatives from the 99 international sports federations affiliated to GAISF (General Association of International Sports Federations), ASOIF (Association of Summer Olympic International Federations), AIOWF (Association of the International Olympic Winter Sports Federations), and the IOC Executive Board - together with broadcasters, sponsors, sports lawyers, architects and other specialists to discuss the key issues facing the sports world and industry.
Said Hein Verbruggen, president of the Union Internationale Cycliste (UCI) and chairman of the SportAccord Working Group set up by GAISF, ASOIF and AIOWF: "SportAccord is the largest platform for people involved in sport.
"That means federations, marketing companies, television companies, advertisers and potential host cities. If the administrators of world sport through the international federations are all in one place, it makes for a very attractive platform."
