Speedo makes a splash at Games

Swimwear brand Speedo has signed a deal with the Commonwealth Games Council of Scotland to be official team kit supplier to the Scottish team competing at the 2006 Games.

Speedo will be providing performance swimwear for a Scottish team of nearly 300 athletes as well as developing a range of team leisure clothing which will be unveiled later this year.
The Scottish team enjoyed their most successful medal tally at the last Commonwealth Games held in 2002 in Manchester, with a total of 30 medals.

Said Louise Martin, chair of the Commonwealth Games Council of Scotland: “It is a tremendous boost for us to have Speedo on-board. Their expertise and reputation is unrivalled and we are confident they will help us to continue the success we enjoyed at the last Commonwealth Games.”

The 2006 Commonwealth Games takes place in Melbourne, Australia.
