The six nations competing in the first women’s World Cup of baseball have been confirmed.
The US, Canada, Japan, Australia, Taiwan and the Dominican Republic will all send teams to the event that takes place in Edmonton later this year.
The women’s game has enjoyed a surge in popularity in recent years, and the inaugural World Cup hopes to capitalise on that.
The event runs between July 30 and August 8.
