Sponsorship's new Proposal

A new sponsorship consultancy has been set-up – created following a comment made in our sister publication SportBusiness International.

The Sponsorship Proposal Company has been set-up to help achieve successful sponsorship proposals by ‘systematically listing, describing and evaluating what’s on offer - and better targeting and researching the companies and products likely to become sponsors’.
Based in Belgium, the company is run by William Fenton, editor of The World Sponsorship Monitor and a veteran of the likes of ISL and Sports Marketing Surveys; and Sheona Dorson-King, who has managed sponsor accounts in major motorcycle events.
Said Fenton: “The Sponsorship Proposal Company has a distinct speciality with helping smaller properties and, respecting their tight budgets, offers an extremely low cost first step in helping with sponsorship.
“Existing sponsorship material is taken in and evaluated and scored against a checklist. The proposal checklist and initial sponsor targeting makes sure that sponsors basic needs - such as a proper description of the event, the public reached, initial ideas for activation for example, have been taken into account. The client is taken through a list of every potential asset that events and properties could possibly turn into sponsorship revenue.”
The new firm has a strong research emphasis with data available in association with leading independent research company Sports Marketing Surveys Ltd.
Fenton says the company was formed after reading a comment made in SportBusiness International
