The controversial former owner of Major League Baseball’s Cincinnati Reds, Marge Schott, has died. She was 75.

Schott, who was in charge of the Reds between 1985 and 1999 sparked outrage when she once said Adolf Hitler’s rise to becoming leader of Germany was a good thing, and was renowned for her outspoken views on a number of minority groups.

Although she kept a small stake in the team, she sold her controlling interest in 1999.
