Team president Larry Lucchino is reported to prefer renovating the ballpark rather than looking at a move.
Since changing hands in 2002, the franchise has seen a number of improvements to the site, and the final 64 games of the season were sell-outs.
Said Lucchino, during meetings with team owners and architects this week concerning current renovations: “When we get past that, we'll consider once again the longer range question of ultimate renovation.
“But it is still our plan to be renovating Fenway, not exploring new ballpark possibilities.”
