A report by the All Party Football Group examined the funding of professional football and gave recommendations on improvements.
Among its key findings were a more generous distribution of TV revenues across all professional clubs, not just the Premier League; an examination of the impact of the football transfer window; more fan representation on club boards; and a more open approach to agent payments.
Said chairman of the group, Alan Keen: “The financial divide between the 'haves' and 'have-nots' must be tackled urgently.”
It also called for tougher penalties for clubs going into administration, amid concerns clubs are gaining an unfair advantage by being protected from creditors.
