Channel 4 extends skiing show

UK terrestrial broadcaster Channel 4 is boosting its skiing coverage by extending its weekly highlights show.

The Sunday morning edition of 'Skiing on 4', produced by Hothouse Productions, will double in length from 30 minutes to one hour and run from 08:00 - 09:00 each Sunday morning until the end of the season.
The move comes on the back of a successful season for British skiers and also takes into account the positive reception to the programming.
Commented David Kerr, head of sport at Channel 4: "British skiers are having a terrific season and with great stories like the resurgence of Herman Meier also fighting for space, we have decided to extend the Sunday programme. With 7 hours of winter sports a week, Channel 4 viewers now have more comprehensive coverage of the Skiing World Cup than we've ever had on British TV."
