The new sponsorship agreement includes the 2004 Athens Olympics, the 2006 Winter Games in Turin and the Beijing Games in 2008.
Telstra’s association with the Australian Olympic Committee dates back to the 1992 Barcelona Games.
Commented Telstra’s Group managing director of consumer and marketing David Moffatt: "Telstra has been a long-time supporter of the Australian Olympic Team and it is a great boost for us to have them on-board again for the next three Olympics.
"It means a great deal to us when companies as prestigious as Telstra stay with us over a 16 year period. We hope our partnership will extend to 20 years and beyond."
Under the agreement Telstra will also have naming rights for the swimming and athletics selection trials for Athens to be held in March and April.
The signing means the AOC is fast closing in on its Athens sponsorship target of A$35million.
Telstra has renewed its sponsorship deal with the Australian Olympic Committee (AOC), extending the association to 16 years.
