The deal was struck by Benfield Sports International, rights holders of the motorcycling series.
The final event of the nine round world championship takes place on October 2 of this year at Norway's Viking Ship Stadium, Hamar - one of the main venues for the 1994 Winter Olympics - and will be officially known as the FIM Pava Norwegian Speedway Grand Prix.
Thomas Kramp, marketing director, PAVA commented: "The Norwegian Grand Prix is the final round of the 2004 season and is invariably the championship decider producing some of the most exciting racing of the whole series. The event's excitement - coupled with the extensive television coverage the final round achieves in Denmark - helped us make the relatively easy decision to sponsor this GP.
"Alongside the far-reaching media and television coverage the series generates, the association of the Pava brand with a world championship motorsport is one we endeavour to develop and is the perfect partner to raise our profile in the Danish market."
Added John Postlethwaite, chief executive, Benfield Sports International: "The increase in television viewing figures across Scandinavia has made speedway a highly valuable media proposition for brands wanting to exploit and increase their presence in this market. We're delighted to welcome Pava as a first time sponsor to the series."
The FIM Speedway Grand Prix Series has unveiled anti-corrosion specialists Pava as the new title sponsor of the 2004 FIM Norwegian Speedway Grand Prix.
