ICC hunts for regional manager

The International Cricket Council (ICC) has launched its search for a regional development manager for the East Asia-Pacific region.

The vacancy has arisen due to the recent appointment of Matthew Kennedy, who previously held the position, as ICC global development manager.

ICC chief executive Malcolm Speed says the role is an important part of the ICC’s development programme.

Said Speed: “The role is a terrific opportunity for the right person to join cricket’s governing body and help drive the development of the game in the East Asia-Pacific region.”

The development programme is delivered through five regional offices; Africa, Americas, Asia, East Asia-Pacific and Europe.

Key areas of the regional development work include coach and umpire education, provision of equipment, facilities, resources and promotional materials, elite player programmes and tournaments on both a local and regional basis.

This role involves extensive travel, reports to the ICC offices in London and is based in the Melbourne offices of Cricket Australia.

All enquiries should be directed to Michael Catlow or Penny Heron in the Melbourne office of Sport Employment Australia quoting Ref No. 2188 before January 30.
