Rogge orders Kim investigation

International Olympic Committee president Jacques Rogge has asked the IOC’s Ethics Committee to investigate the financial scandal surrounding the governing body's vice president Kim Un-yong.

South Korean prosecutors have questioned Kim about allegations he collected illicit money from former South Korean Olympic officials and embezzled funds from taekwondo organizations.
The ongoing situation led to Kim resigning from his position as a Korean lawmaker and as head of the World Taekwondo Association at the end of last week.
An IOC spokesperson Giselle Davies stated: "The situation is that we have written to the Ethics Committee and asked them to look into the matter and give us their advice."
