The programming deal provides the channel with US telecast rights for the singles finals, semifinals and earlier matches for 13 international top-tier tournaments each season.
The agreement, which begins this year and runs through the 2006 season, features several of the most elite events on the WTA Tour calendar, showcasing many of the biggest names in women's professional tennis.
This year's tournaments include the Toray Pan Pacific Open in Tokyo; the MasterCard German Open in Berlin; the Telecom Italia Masters Roma in Rome; the Hastings Direct International Championships in Eastbourne, England; and the Rogers AT&T Cup in Montreal.
"We couldn't be more excited that The Tennis Channel is going to be the US home of these premium, international tournaments, featuring the best female athletes in the world," said Steve Bellamy, president and founder, The Tennis Channel.
"We appreciate the continued support of the WTA Tour, and look forward to continuing our relationship with them as we work together to promote and grow women's professional tennis."
US cable network The Tennis Channel has reached a three-year rights deal with the WTA Tour.
