Janet Jackson has been confirmed as the main performer during the halftime show at February’s Super Bowl.
The halftime show – sponsored by AOL – is being produced by MTV.
The Super Bowl takes place at the Reliant Stadium in Houston, Texas on February 1 and will air in the US on CBS.
Said NFL commissioner Paul Tagliabue: “The AOL Halftime Show is an important part of the Super Bowl and one of the most highly anticipated entertainment events of the year.
"We are pleased that a star like Janet Jackson will join the roster of entertainers who have made the Super Bowl Halftime so special."
