Although a deal with a local promoter is close to agreement, terms have not yet been agreed. However, it seems highly likely the Expos will move the games to San Juan for the second successive season.
Meanwhile, there is still no final decision over the future ownership of the franchise. Currently owned by the league itself, a number of groups are bidding to take on the team. No move is likely prior to 2005.
The Montreal Expos are set to confirm in the coming weeks they will move 22 games to Puerto Rico.
