UEFA names Lee replacement

UEFA has revealed the man who will replace out-going director of communications Mike Lee.

William Gaillard, 53, will take over in the new year after Lee quits to join London’s 2012 Olympic Games bid team.
Gaillard is currently director of corporate communications for the International Air Transport Association (IATA) and has previously worked with both the UN and EU.
Meanwhile, Markus Studer has been named as deputy to UEFA’s new CEO Lars-Christer Olsson. Olsson takes over from current CEO Gerhard Aigner in the new year.
Gianni Infantino will take over as legal services director, reporting directly to Studer.
The appointments were confirmed at the start of UEFA’s executive committee meeting.
