Milan turns Japanese

Italian soccer giant AC Milan has launched the Japanese version of its official website.

ACMilan.com, produced jointly by the Milan Channel and MP Web – the new media arm of Italian firm Media Partners – will now play in a key part in activating the club’s brand in the region.

Prior to the launch of the Japanese version, more than 60,000 fans from Japan regularly visited the site. It is the first Italian team to offer a Japanese version.

The launch coincides with the club playing in the Intercontinental Cup in Yokohama next month, when it takes on Brazilian team Boca Juniors.

The website will offer in Japanese all the sections, currently available in Italian and English.

Said Laura Masi, AC Milan vice sales manager: “The Japanese version of the official website confirms the direction of our club, which is now seeking to develop the AC Milan global brand in Asia.”
