The deal with NBA shooter Stojakovic will see the player wear Reebok’s NBA Mad Talent II on-court – in a bid to boost the brand before the shoe goes on sale to the public in February next year.
Stojakovic will also play an integral part in basketball marketing campaigns leading up to the 2004 Olympic Games in Athens.
Said John Lynch, vice president of Reebok sports marketing: “He will be a tremendous global endorsee for Reebok's co-branded NBA footwear, helping to drive home our position as a major force in authentic performance sports around the world."
In 2001, Reebok and the NBA formed a long-term strategic partnership. Currently, Reebok has the exclusive rights to design, develop, market and sell NBA apparel for 19 of the 29 NBA teams.
Beginning with the 2004-2005 season, Reebok will have the exclusive rights to create on-court apparel for all 30 NBA teams, as the expansion Charlotte Bobcats will join the league in that season.
