While the CFL recorded an overall 1.8 percent increase in attendance levels for last season, a number of the established teams suffered alarming drop offs.
The Toronto Argonauts experienced a 26.6 percent drop in attendance this season, by far the sharpest decrease in the Canadian Football League.
For nine regular-season home games at the SkyDome, the Argos drew 135,748 spectators, an average of 15,083, according to figures calculated by the CFL.
Only the Hamilton Tiger-Cats, who won only one of 18 games, drew fewer fans (133,771). However, the Tiger-Cats' drop in attendance was 16 percent compared with a year ago.
The B.C. Lions had the biggest attendance gain (27.8 percent) with the Saskatchewan Roughriders were next at 21.3 percent.
The Edmonton Eskimos led the CFL by attracting 371,054 spectators, for an average of 41,228 - an 8 percent increase on the previous year.
The Montreal Alouettes were the only club to operate at 100 percent capacity at their home park, Molson Stadium. Due to a remodelling of the stadium, the Als had a 1.2 percent jump in attendance.
