The five-strong FIFA team – headed by the president of Belgium’s Football Association, Jan Peeters - will visit the eight venue sites for the bid over the coming days.
The visit comes hot on the heels of a recent visit to rival bidder Morocco earlier this month.
All countries will have been visited by the end of the year.
A final decision is due next May.
