The races – staged between November 21-23 – will be seen across Europe and further afield after a deal for the event to be broadcast on SBS Speed Week, Inside Speed on Fox and Motors TV.
Said Willowbank Raceway general manager Harry Rowsell: “We are talking about countries where drag racing enjoys a cult following such as England, close to 50 countries throughout Europe, regions of the Indian and Pacific Oceans, and even various locations in Africa.
“This development spells a giant leap forward for Willowbank Raceway but also for Ipswich, Queensland and Australia generally.”
To complement the worldwide exposure of the iTEL Nationals, Australia’s national broadcaster, Channel Nine will broadcast 30-minute highlights packages.
The deals come after months of negotiations, brokered by AVE Pty Ltd.
