As part of the partnership, In Demand will also broadcast on its high definition channel, INHD, select 'classic' NBA programs in HD, including the 2003 NBA All-Star game, as well as footage from the NBA's slam dunk and three-point play competitions.
The two parties will also collaborate to expand HD coverage of NBA League Pass, the NBA's subscription game package, which In Demand delivers to cable digital cable customers.
"This agreement with the NBA reinforces the commitment of our company to expedite the availability of HD content to cable customers by offering them more value as part of their digital subscription," said Rob Jacobson, chief operating officer, In Demand Networks.
NBA TV is now available to more than 40 million US homes and in 30 countries.
In Demand Networks has signed a multi-year deal with the NBA to transmit both the high-definition and standard-definition signals of NBA TV to carriers of the league's network.
