Bob Bell has been officially confirmed as the new technical director of the Renault Formula One team – replacing Mike Gascoyne who is joining Toyota.
Gascoyne has long been linked with the Toyota position, prior to the official confirmation. He will take up the post on December 1.
Meanwhile, Renault’s replacement, Bell, has worked for the team since 2001 and worked alongside Gascoyne as deputy technical director.
