Former player Stephen Silvagni has resigned from the board of directors of AFL club Carlton.
Silvagni said he was stepping down due to family and media commitments.
Said Silvagni: “The decision was a difficult one to make, however with my commitments I feel I will be unable to dedicate sufficient time to satisfactorily carry out the role of a director of the board."
Club president Ian Collins said the matter would be formally addressed at the club’s board meeting next week.
