Viasat renews US PGA Tour rights

Pan-regional broadcaster Viasat Sport has renewed its TV rights deal for coverage of the US PGA Tour.

The deal, brokered by Fox Sports International, will see Viasat Sport screen coverage of the US PGA Tour from 2004 to 2006.
Viasat has acquired the rights to live coverage of 32 tournaments of the Tour which will be broadcast on their channels in Denmark, Estonia, Finland, Latvia, Lithuania, Norway and Sweden.
They will also be broadcasting the international match-play competition, Presidents Cup this year.
Viasat is a company within the international media group Modern Times Group AB. Through its business area Viasat, MTG is the largest free-TV and pay-TV operator in the Nordic and Baltic region, and has free-TV operations in Russia and Hungary as well as pay-TV operations in other countries across Eastern Europe.
