Women’s football experts and representatives from more than 130 national associations will gather together for the event with the goal of exchanging ideas and information on the strategic development of all levels of the women’s game worldwide.
Over the two-day symposium, the attendees will work together, exploring potential methods for improving the quality and quantity of female footballers at the global level, with assistance and instructions for national associations with varying development levels of the women’s game.
As a sample of the symposium’s agenda, some issues to be tackled will be women’s player/coach/league development, the improvement of media and sponsor visibility, as well as plans for the integration of women’s programmes in national and regional associations around the world.
As the Women's World Cup draws to a close, governing body FIFA is holding a symposium for women’s football in Long Beach, California today and tomorrow.
