Infostrada wins RWC media contract

Sports information company Infostrada Sports has been awarded the contract to provide a range of media services to this month's Rugby World Cup in Australia.

The agreement, which runs until the end of the tournament, to be held in October and November around Australia, will see Infostrada organise the collection and editing of sports specific news and information during the competition.
This information will be entered into the RWC news and information system developed and hosted by the official IT supplier, Unisys.
As well, Infostrada Sports will assist with planning for various editorial requirements related to the design and content of the Rugby Info 2003 system, which will be the chief source of information for the world's media.
"Infostrada Sports believes that there is great sense in organising committees of all types making use of the experience we have in both data and operational issues. It's all about not having to re-invent the wheel, losing time and wasting resources," said Infostrada Sports national manager Steve Dettre.
"We can short circuit the need to set up expensive infrastructure for these services, and provide experienced and knowledgeable staff to solve a number of issues."
