England has submitted a bid to host the next women's Rugby World Cup scheduled for 2006.
The English Rugby Football Union have tabled a bid to stage the event in and around London with the final taking place at The Stoop, home to Premiership rugby club NEC Harlequins.
England won the inaugural tournament in 1994 and came close in last year's World Cup, losing in the final in Barcelona.
