Citing security fears, the United Cricket Board of South Africa pulled out of the scheduled tour of Pakistan at weekend following a bomb blast in Karachi.
The Pakistan Cricket Board earlier this month denied a UCB request to switch matches from Karachi and Peshawar.
"The revised itinerary does not include Karachi and has Peshawar/Rawalpindi as the second Test match venue," said PCB spokesman Samiul Hasan.
South Africa offered to host the series, play at a neutral venue or postpone to a later date.
The Pakistan Cricket Board has offered to omit Karachi from South Africa's match schedule in a bid to convince the latter nation to resurrect its tour of the country.
