London 2012 bid unveils Power

Experienced business executive Michael J. Power has been appointed as the chief operating officer of London's bid to host the 2012 Olympic Games.

The 55-year old Power joins the London 2012 bid after 32 years with beauty products company Proctor & Gamble where he performed a variety of roles at the blue-chip giant including those of finance director and global business services officer.
Power will run the day-to-day operations of the London 2012 campaign, working under bid leader Barbara Cassani.
