Inter goes Thai

Italian soccer giants Inter Milan has agreed a groundbreaking deal to launch a Thai-language version of the club's official website, in a bid to boost its global reach.

The club has signed a three-year deal with Samart Info Media Co Ltd for the translated site of Inter.it, in a deal brokered by Asian marketing partner ProEvents Management, and coined the first of its kind in Thailand.

Under the terms of the agreement, Samart will obtain exclusive rights to manage, maintain and promote a Thai-language version of the site and also includes licensing rights to produce and sell products such as phone cards and mobile phone covers.

Samart Info Media (SiM) is a wholly owned subsidiary of Samart Corporation Public Company Limited.

Said Inter-Active managing director Jeff Slack: "We are absolutely sure that having a Thai-language channel on Inter.it will encourage and involve thousands of Inter fans all over Thailand. This agreement is very much in line with our Asian expansion programme."
