Wachovia Corporation, which signed a deal with the New York Giants earlier this week, has renewed and enhanced its sponsorship of the Miami Dolphins and Pro Player Stadium by becoming the team's exclusive financial services partner for the next five years.
"We are proud to continue a partnership that has been rewarding for both the Dolphins and Wachovia," said Dan Fleishman, director of sponsorships and alliances for Wachovia.
"We are confident the enhancements to the sponsorship will serve to strengthen an already successful relationship."
The integrated sponsorship, which began in 1995, continues through the 2007 season and encompasses Wachovia advertising in all of the Dolphin's media channels including bilingual radio and print ads, television and the internet.
In addition, Wachovia will have enhanced on-site signage throughout Pro Player stadium in Miami, and a new Wachovia-branded Jumbotron feature.
"We are pleased to continue our partnership with Wachovia. The bank is one of the top brands in the region and has been a great partner as well as provider of all our team banking needs," added Eddie Jones, team president for the Miami Dolphins.
Financial services firm Wachovia Corporation has signed its second NFL team sponsorship deal this week after renewing its contract with the Miami Dolphins.
