Security at the US Open tennis has been increased - with radiation detecting equipment added to the list of devices aimed at ensuring the event does not become a terrorist target.
The tournament, which started this week, comes just weeks before the second anniversary of the September 11 attacks - and New York authorities have increased police patrols around the event.
