Headingley to get £25m makeover

Yorkshire cricket ground and famed Test match venue Headingley is to receive a £25million facelift.

The announcement was made by Yorkshire CCC chief executive Colin Graves on the eve of the crucial Fourth Test between South Africa and England to be staged at Headingley.
The redevelopment will see the venue turned on its head with the dressing rooms switched from the Football Ground end to a new state-of-the-art pavillion at the opposing Kirstall Lane end.
The move will also increase the ground capacity from 15,200 to 20,000.
Graves stated that the work would make Headingley "the best arena for cricket in the UK in five years' time".
