Jordan's High Court blast

Formula One team boss Eddie Jordan will today start to try and rebuild his reputation after it was given a roasting by a London High Court judge.

In dismissing Jordan's claims of $150m from Vodafone - claiming that a deal had been verbally agreed prior to the mobile phone giant signing with grid rivals Ferrari - the judge poured scorn on both the bringing of the case - and Eddie Jordan's evidence.
Justice Langley said the case, which Jordan tried desperately to pull-out of at the end of last week, had been 'without foundation and false' and was 'contrived and unsustainable'.
He added: "I regret to say that I found Mr. Jordan to be a wholly unsatisfactory witness.
"His evidence was in many instances in stark conflict with, and indeed belied by, the documents - often documents of his own making, On occasions even Mr. Jordan was unable to offer an explanation and was reduced to embarrassed silence by the exposure of blatant inaccuracies in what he was saying."
The Jordan team has said it now wants to put the embarrassing case behind it.
Said a team statement: "When Jordan began this action, we thought we had a deal and believed we had a good case. However, the judge sees it differently and preferred their evidence to ours. Litigation is risky and unpredictable and we have always been prepared for the possibility that this might not go our way. It's now time to move on and devote our full attention to the team and its future."
