Jordan F1's new Tiger sponsor

Formula One racing team Jordan has signed a multi-million dollar sponsorship deal with mobile systems developer Tiger Telematics.

The Jordan F1 cars will carry the logo of the firm's Gametrac product on their livery at this weekend's British Grand Prix at Silverstone and then for the whole of the 2004 season.
The sponsorship deal coincides with the launch of Gametrac - a pocket-sized device offering SMS capability, games and GPS tracking aimed at children of all ages.
Commented Michael Carrender, CEO of Tiger Telematics: "The deal with Jordan enables us to spread awareness of both our brand and our products to the huge global audience interested in Formula One. The on-car signage is just the tip of the iceberg in terms of the marketing opportunities such a deal represents."
The addition of a further sponsor to Jordan's portfolio of commercial partners provides a welcome financial boost as the team searches for a title backer to take over from current incumbent Benson & Hedges whose commitment is threatened by the upcoming tobacco sponsorship ban.
Jordan is currently involved in a high profile court case with telecommunications firm Vodafone over the reneging of a proposed sponsorship deal.
