For 2004, the Gravity Games will expand to a quartely format comprising of Winter, Summer, Mountain and Water competitions.
The Winter Gravity Games will take place over the same weekend as the SuperBowl in late January followed by the Summer event in May. The Mountain Gravity Games comes next over the Labor Day weekend in September while the Water Games round-off the year over the Thanksgiving holiday in December.
Additionally, the 2003 Gravity Games will be handed its first-ever live broadcast on NBC. The network will carry 11 hours of coverage of this year's event including a live, two-hour programme featuring the Freestyle Motocross final on September 14.
NBC is one of the co-owners of the Gravity Games franchise.
Action sports property the Gravity Games is to be expanded next year from a one-off event into a year-round calendar of competitions.
