Nuss is new IMG South Africa chief

Sports marketing giant IMG has announced the appointment of Robyn Nuss as managing director of its South African subsidiary.

Nuss, who replaces previous incumbent Fred Fensham, has been actively involved in the IMG Group of companies for the past 5 years, most recently heading up the activities in Africa of the group's broadcast subsidiary TWI.
In her new role as managing director, Nuss will integrate her TWI and IMG activities and continue to service IMG/TWI's current clients and customers in Africa.
"We believe that the appointment of Robyn Nuss as the managing director in South Africa is in line with IMG's global objectives and that, with her blend of skills she is the perfect candidate to be IMG's 'ambassador' in South Africa and to offer to the South African market place unparalleled marketing services and choice sport viewing," said Andrew Hampel, senior international group vice-president for IMG Europe, Africa & Middle East.
Added Hampel: "Fred Fensham, our managing director of the past five years will be moving on to pursue his other interest - that of exotic cars and boats with Monaco Leisure. We would like to thank him for all he has done for both IMG and its clients over this time and wish him well in his new venture."
Among the client list which IMG South Africa represents include the South African Sports Commission; rugby team the Natal Sharks and a host of golfers such as Retief Goosen, Gary Player and Trevor Immleman.
IMG also offers consulting in the region to a number of corporations and, through its wholly owned subsidiary Comperio, the provision of market research services.
IMG's broadcast subsidiary TWI is also the largest supplier of sport programming to the South African television channels including three of the four grand slam tennis events; three of the four majors of golf; the PGA European Tour; International Cricket; Rugby World Cup; International Rugby; International Football matches; and magazine show Trans World Sport.
