The European Broadcasting Union (EBU) has renewed its TV rights agreement with international swimming federation FINA for a further two years.

The renewal agreement with FINA provides the EBU with the exclusive broadcasting rights for four world championships up to 2005.
This continues a long-standing relationship between the two organizations, marked most recently by the 2001 World Swimming Championships held in Fukuoka, Japan.
"This agreement underlines FINA's faith in its partnership with the EBU and in the EBU's ability to provide high-quality transmissions for the widest possible European audience on national free-to-air television," said EBU president Arne Wessberg.
"The EBU will make every effort to continue to provide FINA with the best broadcasting conditions."
The next major swimming event to be transmitted by the Eurovision network to sports fans in Europe will be the 10th World Swimming Championships to be held in Barcelona, Spain, from July 12-27.
The Geneva-based EBU unites and serves 71 national broadcasters from 52 countries in and around Europe.
